Saigon Prince Hotel: The best service seafood buffet restaurant at Ho Chi Minh City

In a previous post, I wrote about the seafood buffet restaurant at Liberty Central Hotel. For their excellent food and customer service. I also wrote about how their high standards are no doubt due to the efforts of their manager, Thai Nhat Do.

Since then, I’ve learned that Mr. Do was transferred to another seafood buffet restaurant at the Saigon Prince Hotel. Curious to see how it compared to the Liberty Central Hotel restaurant, I decided to visit it myself.

Upon entering the restaurant on the ground floor, my partner and I were greeted by a spacious and clean restaurant. A friendly hostess took us to our table and once we were settled, we headed to the buffet.

There was a huge selection of food to choose from. To start off, there was a variety of Japanese sushi, freshly baked assorted breads, salads as well as cold cuts, such as ham and pate. When we went on to the mains, there was crispy barbequed pork, roasted chicken and duck and steamed fish and many other options to choose from.

But the main attraction was the seafood and it definitely delivered. We could choose between lobsters, crabs, prawns, oysters, and many other shellfish and have them cooked in various ways (barbeque, steam, garlic, cheese, among others).

I would like particularly acknowledge Mr. Do again for always taking the effort to prepare my lobster with cheese and garlic. You made this visit extra special.

And, to finish off our meal, we had some of their pastries and fruits for dessert. There was also ice cream, but we were too full for it.

With this kind of food and service for just 699,000++ dong, it’s more than worth the money. Even if the buffet is only open from Wednesday to Saturday, it’s now one of my favourite places to go for seafood buffets.
