The Deck Saigon: Best Ambience for a Perfect Dinner

Whenever I think of a restaurant for a romantic date in Ho Chi Minh City, my personal preference will be The Deck at District 2. The perfect dinning with the best ambience.

THE EXPERIENCE

It will be quite a distance for those who will be travelling from main town in district 1. By taxi, depending on traffic, it will cost you about 100,000 dong minimum. My preferred choice will be to GRAB there.

Upon reaching, there will be ushers to guide you to the entrance. Walking through a patio with lit torch, gives you a very mystic feeling. There will be 2 friendly receptionists, greeting you, checking through your reservation and usher you to your seats.

The restaurant deco is beautiful in the patio and gardens, give you a very relaxing and cozy feeling. You will also enjoy the best view of the Saigon River especially during the sunset. There are indoors and outdoors seating area and my best recommendation will be by the riverside.

Some will love this place for their cocktail, and some will love this place for dine-in.

There are limited selections to what they have on the menu, but there are 2 dishes I will recommend. One will be their Seafood Platter and the other will be their Beef Steak.

I usually stay clear of Cold Seafood due to my sensitive stomach. However, the Seafood served at The Deck is so fresh, that it kept me going for more. Their crab meat in the shell was well blended and delicious. Going along with that dish would be my plate of Medium Rare Beef Steak. I have tried quite a number of steaks in Saigon and by far, The Deck has the best steak served. It is well seasoned, and the meat is tender, cooked to perfection.
