PS.Cafe – A better cafe for coffee

Time flies too fast and the next thing I know, it is Christmas Eve. Every Christmas, I will travel overseas for photo shoots but ever since the pandemic, I have to make do my shoots in Singapore. I don’t know about you guys but every year’s Christmas, the expectation is dropping. I walked from Tanglin Mall all the way to Plaza Singapura, I don’t remember seeing that many Christmas trees. 1 shocking discovery for me was that the tall Christmas tree at Ngee Ann City is no longer available this year. Seems like the pandemic is still affecting many businesses especially in retail
Anyway, I was on a hunt for a restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner and I popped into 3 restaurants and all of them required me to make reservations ahead. Gosh! Will I end up at McDonalds for Christmas Eve dinner?
Since I was walking down from Tanglin Mall, I will passed-by Palais Renaissance. Why not try my luck at PS.Cafe and see if they allow walk-in?
The 1 thing that I like about PS.Cafe is the ambience and deco. A standard concept set across most of their outlets and I truly enjoy the chill and cosiness of the restaurant.
Guess what! I was in luck. They had a table for me and it was the last table as the restaurant was fully booked.
I was ushered to the table by a friendly waitress, and you will be advised to scan the QR Code for the menu. I remembered the last time, my best friend had it and he said it was good. Thought that I should give it a try too. I went ahead with their Signature PS. Burger done in medium rare. They ran out of Rootbeer Float and so I went ahead with Coke Float instead.
Given how busy it was on Christmas Eve, my Burger came within 20 minutes. Firstly, I like the food presentation and Burger tasted ok only. The seasoning might not be on point for me. Is kind of blend. The fries were cold and soft.
Perhaps, I will prefer PS.Cafe as a coffee meeting place due to its cosy ambience setup. However, I might return to try their Laksa. Hopefully it won’t disappoint me again.
